The Autopilot for Parrot’s Bebop Drone.

Ever wanted an autopilot to follow or orbit you, film and take pictures of you with your Parrot’s Bebop drone, keeping you perfectly framed?

Using official Parrot SDK Tools, Autopilot for Bebop was developed by Airspace Industries Professionals at Wildt-Goettert Aerospace.

Autopilot for Bebop has been extensively tested, so that YOU can rest assured your valuable drone is in the very capable hands of our Autopilot.

Features:
-“Follow Me” mode: Bebop will always follow you the best it can.
-“Side” mode: Bebop will always follow you from the same angle.
-“Orbit” mode: Bebop will circle around you, clockwise or counter-clockwise.
-Dynamic Home: If the drone loses contact with your iDevice, it will climb to 30feet and go to your last known location.
-Full Screen view of Bebop’s live video stream.
-Boeing inspired joystick controls philosophy for manual flying: joystick inputs overrides Autopilot flight control inputs.
-Boeing inspired User Interface: Altitude Selector tape; Distance Selector tape; easy intuitive indication of essential flight data(GPS signal quality, Batteries, Wi-Fi connection strength) for both Bebop and your iDevice, with sound and vibration alarms.
-Manual joystick controls with incremental sensitivity, so that even on high speed configurations you can have fine flightpath control over your Bebop.
-Almost every setting of Bebop can be changed from within the app, even calibration.
-Photo and video management and transfer from within the app.

NEW ON VERSION 2:
-MFi Controllers are now supported

*Autopilot for Bebop requires Bebop’s Firmware greater than 2.0 in order to show video live stream.
*Flight precision and quality may be affected by wind speed and GPS signal quality. Autopilot is designed to provide assisted flight control only. Autopilot cannot avoid collisions with obstacle as Bebop drone has no sensors for that function. You should be prepared to override Autopilot at any moment by remaining within reach of remote control at all times.

Auto Pilot?
Well when I first read about this I was a little excited to download it and give it a shot. So I purchased this $10 app, downloaded, opened it and flew with the app. I then hit the follow me button and the bebop did a 180 and flew off in the opposite direction. And before you ask yes I made sure it was calibrated prior to flying it. So I closed the app out completely, restarted it, pushed the take off button and it hovered about 2 feet off the ground then did a crazy front flip and crashed. So no I wouldnt advise anyone to purchase this app!
Really cool, but needs some work
I have had my bebop 2 for about 2 months and I love it, but there are some other drones out there that have a follow and orbit feature, And I wished that my drone had those features. This app promised those features, and it followed through on some of them. The follow feature worked really well. I never thought that my drone would be able to follow the signal from my phone autonomously, but it worked like a charm!!!!!! I was so excited after the follow feature worked so well to try the orbit feature, but that did not work out as planned. The orbit feature just made my drone hover in one spot and it didnt do anything other then film in One Direction regardless of where I moved. Im sure if the creators of this app were able to figure out how to make it follow my phone signal it will eventually have an update to make it truly orbit my location. I would strongly suggest this app to people with Parrot bebop drones. I know that this is a new app, but hopefully the bugs get worked out!
Biggest waste of $10
The app only stays up when my parrot isnt connected. As soon as my parrot connects to the app, the app crashes. Its BS I wasted $10 on these apps. Updated the drone to newest version, reinstalled the app multiple times. All I wanted was to have my drone follow me. WASTE OF MONEY.
